One successful export = 2 credits. Failed renders are not charged. No watermark.

How to make it

  1. Enter a short sentence and select Typing. Check punctuation before setting the pace.
  2. Choose a font and contrasting colors. Use the landscape layout if the message wraps too much.
  3. Play a two-, three- or five-second loop and make sure the completed sentence remains readable.
  4. Sign in and generate for 2 credits, then download and test the GIF in its destination.

Examples you can customize

HELLO THERE

A short greeting fits a two-second reveal.

NEW CHAPTER

Use a serif font for a restrained announcement.

SEE YOU FRIDAY

Keep the day in the same message so the reminder stays clear.

Make a typewriter text GIF with your own words

A typing text GIF builds a sentence gradually instead of showing the whole message at once. That reveal can make a greeting feel conversational, introduce a short announcement or give a title a deliberate rhythm. The maker reveals actual font characters from your text; it does not ask an image model to guess what the letters should look like. Keep the message short enough that the viewer can watch it appear and still read the completed version. For an urgent notice or a dense headline, the sliding effect may be easier to follow because the full phrase arrives together.

Balance the reveal and the reading pause

The typing animation uses the first part of the loop to reveal characters and holds the complete message for the remaining portion. A two-second loop works best with very short words such as HELLO or THANK YOU. Choose three or five seconds for a longer greeting. Changing the duration changes the pace of the reveal, so always play the whole loop after editing your sentence. Spaces and punctuation are part of the input. A short line ending in a question mark can feel like a chat message, while a longer promotional sentence may need a different effect.

Choose a readable font and a quiet background

Bold sans serif text stays clear in small previews and works well for short uppercase messages. A serif face gives a typewriter-style animation a more editorial character, although it is not a simulation of a specific vintage machine. Rounded lettering suits friendly greetings. Use a strong difference between the text and background colors. A pale gray word appearing over white can look like missing letters on a phone. Transparent exports are available, but judge contrast against the background where the GIF will actually be placed rather than the editor’s checkerboard.

Use cases: greetings, updates and short reveals

Try a typing GIF for a welcome message, a compact announcement or a playful reaction. HELLO THERE is easy to follow in a chat. NEW CHAPTER can introduce a personal update. SEE YOU FRIDAY works as a short event reminder. Keep dates, times and other essential details together so the viewer does not have to remember a fragment from an earlier part of the loop. If your message contains several facts, put the complete details in the surrounding post or email and let the animated text carry only the headline.

Export a typing animation at the right size

Choose the square layout for a flexible general-purpose image, landscape for a longer headline, or portrait for a narrow vertical placement. The long edge is capped at 720 pixels and the loop can last up to five seconds. The export is an animated GIF, not a video and not an animated font file. You can attach or embed the finished image wherever GIF playback is supported. After downloading, open the saved file and confirm that the full sentence appears before the loop resets. The preview itself does not deduct credits.

Fix a typing GIF that feels too fast

First shorten the text or increase the loop from two seconds to three or five. Then check whether line wrapping makes the eye jump between distant positions. A shorter phrase on one line often reads better than a longer phrase split into several lines. If the sentence must remain long, use the sliding text maker so the full wording is visible for a longer uninterrupted period. A generated result costs two credits, so use the live preview to resolve these issues before exporting. Re-downloading the finished result does not require another generation.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a typewriter GIF generator?

Yes. It creates a character-by-character text reveal with a final reading pause. It does not add typewriter sound, because GIF files do not contain audio.

Can I change the typing speed?

Choose a two-, three- or five-second duration. The reveal scales with the loop length and the number of characters; there is no separate per-key timing editor.

Can I type Chinese text?

Supported Chinese characters are rendered with a bundled font. Unsupported characters are rejected before billing rather than replaced with made-up letters.

Does the GIF include a blinking cursor?

This version focuses on a clean text reveal and reading pause. It does not add a cursor, sound or deletion sequence.

Can I remove the background?

Enable Transparent background before exporting. Test the saved GIF on your intended background to check that thin letter edges remain readable.

Is the first typing GIF free?

The one-time 2-credit welcome gift covers one generation in any effect, including Typing. It is shared across the tools, not a separate gift for each page.
