Examples you can customize

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Rounded lettering makes a warm celebratory title.

SAVE THE DATE

A serif face gives an invitation a more formal tone.

BIG NEWS

Dimensional lettering adds weight to a short announcement.

Turn a phrase into animated word art

Word art treats the shape and arrangement of letters as part of the artwork. An animated word art GIF adds movement to that treatment, making a title, greeting or short announcement more expressive. Start with a phrase that can carry the design on its own. Choose a font for the tone, a color combination for contrast and an effect that supports the lettering. This page defaults to dimensional text, but you can compare it with neon, sliding, typing or glitch in the same maker. The text remains editable until you generate the final image.

Choose the type style before the animation

Bold sans serif lettering is a good starting point for a large statement. A serif face can make an invitation or editorial title feel more formal. Rounded lettering suits friendly notes and playful reactions. Look at the distinctive shapes in your actual phrase rather than judging the font from a generic alphabet sample. A word containing wide letters needs more horizontal room than a word made of narrow ones. If the layout wraps awkwardly, shorten the phrase or switch the canvas ratio before adding more visual emphasis.

Use depth, light or motion as the decorative layer

The 3D effect gives the letter face an offset depth layer and a gentle movement. Neon adds a luminous outline, while Sliding makes the complete phrase enter and leave the canvas. Typing emphasizes the sequence of the words, and Glitch introduces brief digital color offsets. These are different visual treatments, so one can be more effective than a combination of all of them. The current maker uses one effect at a time. It does not provide curved baselines, freeform letter warping, imported font files or a full layer-based illustration workspace.

Make word art for greetings, titles and announcements

HAPPY BIRTHDAY can become a cheerful rounded title. SAVE THE DATE can use a serif font and a restrained sliding entrance. BIG NEWS works well with bold dimensional lettering. Keep the message specific to the occasion, and leave detailed information in the surrounding invitation or post. If you use a person’s name, check every character before exporting. The renderer preserves supported font characters rather than asking a model to draw the word, which is particularly useful when a name, price or date must stay exact.

Keep the composition useful in its final setting

A word art GIF is still an image with a fixed canvas. Square layouts are flexible for messages and posts, while landscape can keep a longer title on fewer lines. Portrait may fit a narrow design but needs shorter wording. The maximum long edge is 720 pixels, and you can choose two-, three- or five-second loops. Check the artwork at the size where it will appear. Decorative details should support the phrase at that size, not only when the editor preview is large. Transparent exports are available with the GIF format’s one-bit alpha limitation.

Save an animated image, not an editable font document

The download is a finished GIF. It does not contain editable text layers, a PowerPoint WordArt object, an SVG animation or a 3D model. Keep your wording and settings if you expect to make another version later. The maker saves an optional local draft for convenience, but the downloaded file is the artwork you should keep. A successful export costs two credits, and the one-time welcome gift covers one generation. If you need to put a caption over an existing animation, use Add Text to GIF instead of treating the whole source as a word-art template.

Frequently asked questions

Is this Microsoft WordArt?

No. This is a browser tool that creates animated GIF images. It does not edit Microsoft Office WordArt objects or export a presentation file.

Can I make curved or warped text?

The current maker uses straight text layouts with automatic line wrapping. Curved baselines and individual letter warping are not available.

Can I upload my own font?

The maker uses its bundled bold, serif and rounded fonts, with Chinese fallback support. Custom font uploads are not available in this version.

Can I change the words after downloading?

The GIF is flattened. Return to the maker and create a new version with your revised wording; a new successful generation uses 2 credits.

How is this different from Cool Text GIF?

Word Art focuses on typography and decorative titles. Cool Text groups effects by visual mood and use case. Both use the same maker and credit balance.

Can I use the result in an invitation?

Yes, if the destination supports animated GIFs. Keep essential event details available as readable static text as well.
